The Dawn after the rains…~by Akshaya Kumar Das

The Dawn after the rains…

the dawn after the rains was cool, calm, serene.
Lots of leaves shed in the walk way.
Rains have washed & clean sweeped the surrounding.
the garden was wearing a sombre appearance.
Birds were hungry,
A sudden cluster of birds parking on the trees.
tweeting the woes of the incessant rains that kept their wings locked.
Only embrace the kids & nature in their nests .
children still hungry, asking their moms question after question.
the skies still overcast,
beneath the cover of the clouds hides the powerful Sun.
As the day grows with time passing by,
the clouds will start melting, start dispersing,
Allow light to spray its beams of radiance.
the earth would dry up, all trees & plants
get engrossed in cooking & feeding.
the earth still continues living.
No rains, no showers can stop its being.
