Used~by Rik Bertrand

Her words stuck me like a warrior’s sword,
I was thrown down by her hellish tongue.
Beaten by every syllable she pronounced,
Every hating thought she flung.

I loved her with my heart and soul,
Gave her all that was dear to me.
She took it with greedy passion,
Then left me for a better deal.

I am not one to hold a grudge,
But it hurt me to my core.
To have a woman I love dearly.
Treat me like a whore.

The pain was in being with her,
But now I am free and clear.
I know longer feel the deep down pain,
Or the love I felt so dear.

©Rik Bertrand (SEPT 2014 #32) I loved her dearly…. For nothing…. What a waste of my life.
