No love for the Poet~by Rik Bertrand

No love for the Poet

Never fall in love with a poet,
Or the words that he does write,
They say that they’re all lies,
That fall from his heart just right.

Never fall in love with a poet,
His heart is not meant for you,
His words are just humble ramblings,
No true love does he ensue.

“Dear love I feel you in my heart,
My life revolves around you.
Come to me in the dark of night
So our love we can make true.”

Never fall in love with a poet,
His craft can fck up your head.
He can make you fall full in love,
Then leave you with pure dread.

“Your Beauty captures my soul,
It sends chills up my spine,
Come to me my precious one,
So we can drink and dine.”

Never fall in love with a poet,
Don’t do it, don’t fall for lies.
Noting he says rings true to life,
It is better that you despise.
