The Loveliest Flower
In my heart this thought comes to mind
That the soul of a child is the kind
And loveliest flower found
Growing in the Garden of God
It begins to grow in weakness
Then into great knowledge and power
That’s helped with gentle loving care
If neglected, it’ll grow ragged and wild
It’s true this “plant” is tender and wondrously rare
This sweet, precious soul of a child
The “Faithful Gardner” gives it the blessing
Of moisture, warmth, and light
Protecting it, for sure, from frost
And from all kinds of blight
With Angels guiding, the bloom unfolds
The beauty and sweetness from birth till it’s old
The sensitive and beautiful soul of a child
