‘Sometimes’~by Mary Cecil

Sometimes I think that perhaps I should die,
But not yet, when a light has fallen into my dark night
And what would remain should I leave,
But remembrance of moments

The longing to linger for your consideration,
Would you regret the unspoken words
The hesitations to know,
To see the heart that waits

Or should I be excused for fanciful nonsense,
That flits in endless circles
Or flee forever to worlds beyond,
And drift to heavens that surely welcome me

And yet I long to know,
The certainty of everything
The madness that consumes,
For that one, last, great dream
