MY SILENCE~by Rajendra Padhi

MY SILENCE

Drops of tears float in sun beams
Cast a rainbow
Faint in colour and in the distance vanishing,
An uncertain story runs I stand exiled on shore
How am I left like wind storming over
The unceasing tides of a past in divided words,
The sun is eclipsed intriguing darkness in day
The butterfly sits by mistake on the skeleton
Left lonely to decay by the passing seasons.

Time unfurls me like a stage empty of actors
The spectator in cold blood after the show
Return weaving fancies for something new,
How is our heart never free of thirst!
The past is like a diamond lost in water
People can change hearts like their shoes,
A song of tears in your violin flows
Now I feel the memory frosting me at night
Turning me a shadow at the dark corner
My footprints at your street I left disappear.

But I am no more a committed doll
Made of wires of the desires of time,
I am no more a story for eyes to read
Quickly searching for an end,
Not even their dream or mine
To contemplate deep for future,
I sit crossed-legs
Becoming my own dream, my own wish
Growing strong for new suns.
