Blisshood…~by Akshaya Kumar Das

Blisshood…

As the night grows deeper,
the density grows thicker,
the creepers to humans,
every one goes into the world of slumber,
the world of slumber,
the woes of man becomes lesser,
slumber takes away mans’ worries,
tiresomeness of the day’s hard labour,
man slips into the world of unconscious,
into the dreamland where slumber takes away his conscious,
in the lap of slumber man delves into the hide,
the land of landscapes that take him for a joy ride,
the lagoons , the mermaids, choosing his stride,
like a log of dead wood the body sleeps,
totally lost in a world of eternal bliss
life does not desert him even from his blisshood,
in utter state the body lies like a log of wood .
night takes life into the nocturnal esoteric zones,
the body lies like a log of wood freeing
the soul to roam in the slumber reeling..
