Wall of time ~by Mandour Saleh Hikel

Wall of time

I released all my thoughts
Freely and high
I have seen not where…
While my feelings started to cry
Then comes a sigh…
A deep sad sigh
Hidden in a child’s broken smile
That sadly…
turns to cry
Still I’m looking for my released thoughts,
I’m looking…
Through the wall of time
Throughout history…
Trying to attain the truth
Of the child’s broken smile
Suddenly… my thoughts
Were drawn
To the painful fact…
To the reason of the child’s broken smile…
To the nightmare
That is hiding behind the wall of time.

The blind violence
The stupid war
That has broken our children’s smiles
Their hearts , and their souls
The wall of time ..
Still there…
Silent and blind
My released thoughts ,
Cemented into my crying feelings
Trying to hide
Behind the the wall of time
And the child is left alone
With a broken smile
With dead heart and soul
As if to pay the price
For the shame of our silence
For bricking our hearts with violence
That built….
The silent wall of time
