Pandora~by Lilian Dipasupil Kunimasa

It is said, “It is in the eyes that can be seen
if there is something inside that is well hidden”
What if it happens to be a secret burden
Would one rather wish to be blind than come clean

The sun will surely rise even behind thick clouds
The stars shall twinkle when night’s darkness enshrouds
The smell of smoke can permeate even through thick crowds
What more of a secret that has been asked out loud

The river blocked by a wall shall still try to flow
The wood immersed in water can still make fire glow
A crying mute can make sounds of a shrieking crow
What more of searching for a secret cannot show

A story cannot be hidden in a coal seam
When a greater change should happen to be one’s dream
When Spring ends, you can expect the coming of flood
And a person shall be betrayed by his own blood

Such that the spirit of a person should strengthen
That one’s heart and mind should always remain open
One’s inner truth should be released and allowed free
Able to face the future whatever may be

* just an inspired post
