Little Freddie (A Christmas poem for you)~by Melvina Germain

Little Freddie (A Christmas poem for you)

Little Freddie finished decorating the tree,
after adding a special bell for his dad.
He gazed at his momma sitting quietly
as she searched through her purse.

Her face seemed O so very sad.

Freddie walked toward her and patted her knee,
Mama don’t you worry about me.
You don’t need to go to the store you know.
I have everything here I need.
God gave me you, momma,
you’re my special gift.
Freddie smiled and took her hand,
come momma, let’s enjoy our tree.
I placed Jesus way up high, you see.
Momma if you look close, you can see dad,
he’s standing there beside Jesus momma.
He’s happy and smiling, momma please
dont be sad.  She took her little Freddie
in her arms and held him O so tight.
You are a special boy, you’re my
brightest light.
