Life in a tricycle…~by Akshaya Kumar Das

Life in a tricycle…

Just see the happiness in the mans’ face,
his folded hands only say grace,
his distressed life with leprosy,
life’s strange behaviours were never that rosy,
the whole life went in eking out a living,
little alms , little compassion and the profession of begging,
In his diseased state he has a family,
disease is no definition to life for punishing the family,
his tricycle is his moving spirit of life,
he moves from door to door in strife,
some body gives palmfull of alms,
some just do not listen to his appeals & qualms,
life has been too harsh towards him,
the youth betrayed , disease always took a toll on him ,
he is never afraid of life,
life has lessons for the world from his strife,
A cursed existence that life has become,
He has to survive and live may what come..
