PARABLE OF CHRISTMAS
Born as a Babe in conflict,
Carried off to escape interdict….*
Answered prophesy
Hidden clarity,
For kinsfolk it rarely clicked.
–
Prophets in their own town
Frequently are shot down…
Familiarity
Breeds contempt you see,
They don’t like the “new guy” around!
–
Faith as small mustard seed,
Plant in the wrong place–in deed–
Truly voids
And hope destroys,
But satan gets a hearty “TEE-HEE”.
–
Awaiting the dawn with my Lord
In my prayer shawl He is adored…
My secret place
My Lord to face,
Keeping everything above-board.
–
Secret workings in God’s law,
But shadows of heavenly awe…
When Hebrew
Is Number One, too,
He’ll come, Who died without flaw.
When Christ comes in the cloud,
Trumpets will blow out loud…
Coming as King,
To rule everything
Will you be among His crowd?
–Jonathan Caswell
* “interdict.”…short for interdiction…being suddenly caught for correction/arrest…or , this case, death ordered by King Herod.
