Man. Ocean, and God ~by Lilian Dipasupil Kunimasa

Man. Ocean, and God

How does one stop the tides and waves of an ocean?
What powers does man have to control its motion?
Can man claim its vastness with brute strength and reason?
Can man accuse the rebel ocean of treason?

Came man manipulate it with deceit and lies?
Can man hold it as slave with emotional ties?
Can man conquer the ocean with his man-made law?
Can man with passion regulate its current’s flow?

Can man change the beginning and end of nature?
Can man force the ocean to follow his culture?
Can man teach an ocean how to worship his God?
Can man make it realize what is good or bad?

Why then does man want to control one another?
Why does man desire to see each other suffer?
Why can man not learn to respect one another?
That his race belief or status does not matter.

How does one stop the tides and waves of an ocean?
Can man change the beginning and end of nature?
Can man claim to be superior than the others?
Only God can, and man must know he is not God.
