HOPEless~by Angela Black

HOPEless

Hope descends from a bleeding sky
And dies on the road to me…
It fades upon my weeping eye,
And sets my pain and agony free.
I run and run, yet life’s frozen;
My dreams melt with every pace…
Was it wrong the path I’ve chosen?
I’ll step aside and watch the race
From afar… Like a fading star…
Or like a broken-winged sparrow,
I’ll fly though I won’t go far…
Hopeless, but brave to the marrow.
