HEART OF A POET~by Kilel Rama

(Dedication to fellow poets)
A poet’s heart is like a mirror
Clear enough to reflect what it sees
In bold shape, in equal size
But in reverse to make you think

It is feeble, soft and elastic
To feel the pain and joy
Shed tears when needed
But still rigid to fall a slave

It is bold to write what it feels
Draw solitude, anger and courage
With no fear, with no shame
But waits for the ink to speak out

A poet’s heart knows how to sing
Ballads, odes and moving elegies
Which break the bonds of a strong heart
But it only lives while passion lives
