Talk Less~by Mac Adrone Adonay

Talk Less

Do not meddle to the conversation
Try to behave before you interfere
Your tongue may speak negative opinion
Which no one would ever delight to hear

There is a story many want to clear
But you carry it up to the worst state
A hot and boiling argument you stir,
Misunderstanding is what you create

It seems you put a chili on a plate
Without knowing the others’ appetite
If they may enjoy it, accept or hate
If it’s good or bad and if it’s alright

Talk little and examine your sentence
Speak less and please, avoid talking nonsense.

Rhyme scheme: abab bcbc cdcd ee
Sonnet type: Spenserian
