You Slide to Glide. ~by Isholaayodele Wasiu

You Slide to Glide.

You slide,
To glide.
You fall,
To rise tall.
You crumble,
To rumble.
You fail,
To master the sail.

As long as you don’t quit.
You’ll reap your labour’s fruit.
Your courage’s lamp stays lit?
Hope’ll fly you out the pit.

With greed,
Absent in your creed,
Your efforts will breed,
Success: you’ll succeed.
In history, recorded,
Will be your deeds.

You slide,
To glide.

Composed by Ishola Abdulwasiu Ayodele.
