A human act~by Yassin Sbai

A human act

The day is dry

No buck flows in

Misery waits everywhere

Presses the air

Yet,

An act of sympathy

An act of helping a disabled

Soften a face

Draw a smile

Warms the heart

The day is dry

No buck flows in

Yet,

An emotional wealth more expensive

Can’t be measured to the buck

For the buck is hard, stinky, foul and dry

There is certain hypocrisy

That is a forced reality

For a day, there is always dusk

For a night, there is always dawn

A human act

Is at every hand

Every citizen

Every woman and man

Don’t cost buck

Don’t cost a thing

A gentle act

A self invisible unexpected wealth to gain
