The Chime of Thee~by Isholaayodele Wasiu

The Chime of Thee

The bell of my memories is ringing.
The chimes of reminiscence around are flying.
But one chime sings so sweet, a canary.
This is the chime of thee and thy glory.

It sings of thy small marble face.
And the rainbows of smile, it, grace.
It sings of thy willowy statue.
And the aura of respect it nurtures.

It sings of thy knowing eyes,
That drills to where sophy lies.
It sings of that clever mind of thine,
The garden of gracious thoughts, divine.

It sings of thy refined heart.
And the warmth it does impart.
It sings of it’s iron resilience,
That builds an Effiel Tower of thy patience.

This chime of thee has awaken in mind thy absence,
Lulling to bed thy faked presence.
These heart beats are punching my chest.
For freedom to find you, a worthy quest.
