…….Feelings in Disuse….~by Vinod Kumar Mishra

…….Feelings in Disuse….

If I deny I’m wrapped up in offensive warp and woof,
Rags lying around in disuse tailored anew on me apt,
Fossils in mossy crags sought in want of human ends,
What good is it to lie to a heart I once said I’m yours?

If I doubt destiny’s sincere scales on equal terms weighed,
I see the best off for the worst to rush in in moral nuisances,
Tears brim in wanton eyes, and fears float on fair face flouted,
How sweet of you to console me while they distort their faces!

I daresay I’ll be born once again of Nature’s warm breaths,
Time’s ink in the pot at hand keen to hold a pen in my favour,
How kind of you to carry cares when men mock me in misery!
