CAN YOU FORGET ME, O MY LOVE, MY DEAR?

Can you forget me, o my Love, my dear?
You dreamt a lovely dream having me near
To live in the world of Love and beauty
And sing a sweet romantic song with me.

My dear! on my solitary journey
When I got you, my heart felt so happy;
My mind cried in joy of Love and care
And we two promised to walk together.

Once on the way we fell in a tempest
Which swiftly uprooted heart from your chest.
Then you did lose the sense of love for me
And could not keep your words to walk with me.

Again I am on the painful journey
As leaving me lone you’ve gone far away.
