Arts and Poetry series From Cold Winter Comes Warm Spring~by Lilian Dipasupil Kunimasa

Arts and Poetry series From Cold Winter Comes Warm Spring

A journey that has made a traveller weary
His body frozen and his eyes from cold teary
Would he rather not come inside a farmer’s barn
Join the others in a square dance and have some fun

Rather than to stay out, wallowing in one’s hurt
It’s better to open the windows of one’s heart
Let Spring spread its warmth, chasing winter’s freeze away
And all the birds and butterflies will come one’s way

But to let the Winter stay on, one’s heart shall freeze
With all the flowers dying in frost, no wind breeze
As painful it may be to let outside joy in
to fill where anger, fear and hopelessness have been

Don’t wish to die in pain, life will surely go on
Such mocking warmth of Spring heals
Certainly be a saving warmth for moving on
From cold Winter, a numbed heart beats again and feels

From cold winter comes warm spring.
