Life And Time, They Both Pass On~by rldubour

Life And Time, They Both Pass On

Life and time they both pass on, life and time from dust till dawn.
And from the beginning or nearing the end, life and time they both seem to blend.
Your life at first is strange and confused.
So small and helpless and ever so new.
Time passes on you begin to awake.
As the pieces of life seem to fall into place.
Your first step is taken, what a challenge this be.
You begin to explore the world at her seams.
You notice the rain, the new fallen snow.
You notice the warmth along with the cold.
You notice the world and all of her joys.
You notice your life in which you now are employed.
Life and time they both pass on, life and time from dust till dawn.
And from the beginning or nearing the end, life and time they both seem to blend.
You are a little bit older, you venture outdoors.
To your surprise another world to explore.
You touch the grass and the white picket fence.
You fight off the dragons your enemies have sent.
You fight off the Indians to save your fort.
You find an old penny, a fortune it’s worth!
You play in the sand and make castles so high.
You watch the white clouds as they form in the sky.
You notice the world and all of her joys.
You notice your life in which you now are employed.

Life and time they both pass on, life and time from dust till dawn.
And from the beginning or nearing the end, life and time they both seem to blend.
Then time passes on ever so fast.
For you are getting older in school at last.
Again something new and so much to learn.
Something to conquer but this you must earn.
Then you are hurt from the world that you see.
For you do not expect to find those that are mean.
From this first listen your friends you do choose.
To play with and talk with in whatever you do.
You notice the world and all of her joys.
You notice your life in which you now are employed.
Life and time they both pass on, life and time from dust till dawn.
And from the beginning or nearing the end, life and time they both seem to blend.

You’re getting much older with so much to do.
For you got a new bike and roller skates too.
You take things apart seldom putting them back.
You play with your soldiers or your new ball and jacks.
Winter is here as you play in the snow.
As you built your large fortress to keep out your foe.
You have snowball fights but that’s not as much.
As trying to hit those by passing trucks.
You notice the world and all of her joys.
You notice your life in which you now are employed.

Life and time they both pass on, life and time from dust till dawn.
And from the beginning or nearing the end, life and time they both seem to blend.
Now there is baseball and football too.
As you try to forget your homework that’s due.
You get passing grades so that is good you guess.
But your dad has spoken and he wants the best.
So you are forced upstairs into your cluttered room.
With your books and your pencils that you’ll forget soon.
You are supposed to be pounding this stuff in your head.
But you find yourself making model airplanes instead.
You notice the world and all of her joys.
You notice your life in which you now are employed.
Life and time they both pass on, life and time from dust till dawn.
And from the beginning or nearing the end, life and time they both seem to blend.
You are still growing older and still much to learn.
For you’re in junior high and starting your first term.
Things are getting rough, much more things to do.
Now you have more courses in which you have to choose.
Life and time are ever in flight.
For it’s your senior prom tonight.
You tell your dad about your girl and that she is really great.
So naturally you ask for the car, please dad, I won’t be late.
You notice the world and all of her joys.
You notice your life in which you now are employed.
