PEARL HIDDEN IN THE SHELL~by Rajendra Padhi

PEARL HIDDEN IN THE SHELL

My hopes are like rain ruffled in ripples
Born from obscuring clouds drifting fast
But resonant with music of shower
Flowers of longings glow with fragrance.

Life is not like river certain in flow for a way
Kindle longings for us finding better roads,
Crowded with joy avoid thorns and rocks
Each day- break confers a change as we desire.

Though frail is our root in a storm
We don’t fall like a tree struck by the wind,
Gallantly find strength pent up within heart
Pass away season of drought and flood.

We always move upward like creepers
Climbing on pillars of prayers to find the sun,
We slip and fall but rise safely to goals
Never stops for a moment beyond reasons.

When we are offered winter‘s chilling wind
Fly like migratory birds to find a season sweet,
We cross the tidy ocean in our little hands
How we tame a tiger to dance in the circus!
