A Whisper of change~by Mandour Saleh Hikel

A Whisper of change

**************
A whisper of change has knocked…
Gently on my door…
As if to guide me into a new start…
Where my heart should listen…
To what my mind may say…
Does it look childish?…
Or a way too smart…
To think of my life…
As a continuous challenge…
Not as sweet candy…
Not as a piece of tart.

A whisper of change was blowing…
Still knocking my heart’s door
So gently … yet insistently
But my heart’s door still closed
Though the winds are growing stronger
And the knocks are getting louder
Yet my heart …
My closed heart…
Will never get wiser .

So the whisper started to back out
I watched it flying …
High and higher …
Till it vanished away.
The story has come to an end…
Where my mind still growing…
WISER.
And my heart still growing
YOUNGER .

NB: NO MORE WHISPERS OF CHANGE,
AND MY HEARTS DOOR IS SLIGHTLY OPEN
