They exclaimed and proclaimed!
The pioneers exclaimed and proclaimed!
‘That other side unfathomed
And more glorious,
Still belongs to us;
Our exploration has not ended
And farther distances,
Not yet traversed;
But promises beckon
From horizons beyond;
The weather is all fair and benign,
Whether night or day;
What else could there be,
So blessed a thing
Than this earnestness
That matches the occasion?
And all is grist to the mill,
For the braver ones!’
