Lost Friendships~by Norman Wilson

Lost Friendships

I remember when
There was time for friends
Never asking why
Never knowing when
As our lives were meshed
Without cause to end

Our magic was there
Filling a twilight air
In cloudless skies
With warming eyes
Touching others hearts
In new fresh starts
Looking to tomorrow
Without tears of sorrow

Then the darkness came
Without a name
Saying the end was near
Coming closer here
Where clouds float by
As friendships die
From troubled hearts
That took no part
From raging words
From hearts unheard
