Business Cards~by Paul F. Lenzi

Business Cards

tell your story
in printer’s ink
leave it behind
where you visit
contribute to
rolodex flip-files
your card stock of
graphic mnemonics
will nice-as-you-please
jog new customers
into your revenue
stream or has my
time expired
am I now afterall
just a dinosaur
lost in an age
of electronic
touch pads and
voice command
contacts who
speak arcane
languages heard
I’ve been told
via something
called Bluetooth

on second thought
best to ignore
my advice
I’m still trying
to work out
just how to
write poetry
absent the use
of my trusty
and comfortable
fifty-year-old
Mont Blanc
fountain pen
