Spaghetti
“I made a reservation to this all Italian place”
“So my dear be ready, I will pick you up at eight.”
“We can go have dinner and maybe to a show.”
“Or take a walk through the park and talk of things we know.”
“I think you will like this ristorante, that’s the Italian word.”
“All my friends they recommend, this is what I heard.”
“We‘ll go and eat some pasta just like mamma makes.”
“And even though we are not Italian, I am sure that we can fake.”
“We will have spaghetti dinner and a nice sweet glass of wine.”
“We won’t care how long it takes; we have all night to dine.”
“You can take your time to order, the menu is really neat.”
“There is homemade lasagna, tortellini or ziti Calabrese.”
“With garlic bread, garden salad, just order what you please.”
“Ravioli, fettuccini, or anything you see.”
“This is what my plans are, so would you like to go?”
“To this Italian ristorante and maybe to a show.”
Very good poem Ron! I enjoyed reading it; it put a smile on my face,
