The Grand Old Man…~by Akshaya Kumar Das

The Grand Old Man…

the old man loves the village,
the house built by him of his childhood days,
the village temple,
his passion for life in ample,
the green pastures,
to the village river,
revered by the villager,
his age is a testimony of the suvivor,
the old mans’ wheel chair,
moves temple ward for gods’ prayer,
the old mans’ walker,
help him the distance to cover,
his fat body and the huge stature,
he is none other than the father,
many odds to even,
countless good deeds to sin,
committed by him for his kin,
now in old age remains a history book unseen,
long live ! long live! old man,
we will stand by you never allow you to run,
