When love does hurt~by rldubour

When love does hurt

To love someone is not enough

If they won’t love you back.

The solitude of loneliness

Like an abandoned railroad track.

Where once the mighty engines

Once heard loud and clear.

That’s when your heart was broken

And love had disappeared.

This is when love hurts the most

Tearing your heart inside.

Just waiting to come out again

And once more feel alive.

I just don’t know the answer

I try for all it’s worth.

All I know is loneliness

That’s when love does hurt.

Once I knew the happiness

I was that shining star.

Can I find where love has gone?

Or has it gone too far?

I will find the answer

I continue with my search.

To rid this pain of loneliness

To find love and make them first.

They say there is a reason

With nothing left to chance.

I wonder if it’s possible

Once more make love dance?

Like a song without the music

It is just not right it seams.

As is life without the love

Would be filled with empty dreams.

I just don’t know the answer

Will not give up my search.

All I know is loneliness

That’s when love does hurt.

  1. Nice poem Ron, I seem to  have taken it personal.  Yeah, it does hurt!
