*Friends*~by Bhat Naieem

*Friends*

I still Remember
Those tranquil days of december
I spent with you in sheer joy
Without opulence and ploy
When we wrapped days in dreams
Danced at night with music screams
When we indited poems of our own
Compared a girl’s beauty with moon
Those love songs which we sang
In bold voice like a goon gang
The feelings we shared
The tyrant exams we only feared
A moment without you was a year
Life without you seemed nightmare
I still laugh at those vapid chats
We used to bedevil our mates
And taunted on their red faces
For we were vanquishers of all races
Now without you life costs nothing
Come back friends, let’s make it everything
