TIME´S A THIEF~by Petri Karvinen

TIME´S A THIEF

When the last ship has left the shore
And crowded stations closed their doors
Full moon glides up in the sky
It draws a circle to remind…

Time´s a thief
A cruel mistress
Holds the key
To something more

In this game
The young and pretty
Have their names carved
In shortest straws

Fountains of youth have been sucked dry
No use in praying for a second try
Excuses fade like the setting sun
When you are holding a smoking gun

If you never dare to grab the moment
If you never give fate a chance
Like the summer stolen by the autumn
Can´t save the hours once they´ve passed

Time´s a thief
A cruel mistress
Holds the map
To roads unknown

In its game
The strongest buildings
As well as diamonds
Must be gone
