Echoes of Time
The tides of her life has flowed away
As voices echo through a winding trail
Footprints she laid so many years ago
Lost in youth leaving her old and frail
Adrift in slumbers rest upon this day
Where hope since changed to despair
To freedoms she felt in blowing bliss
Now floundering in seas in laced air
Saddled the winds she sowed so green
Drench drying silhouettes as she runs
Beneath sun settings fused orange-red
Where her soul now covers a diving sun
Strange were the times she shared in fun
Like a split rubber band snapping her back
As voices no longer echo under a rising sun
As life waters slams her past in death black
