I am an Angel with the eyes of light~by Hela Tekali

I am an Angel with the eyes of light

I am an Angel with the eyes of light
But I am dying quite inside
My sensitivity no one seems to understand
Judging my tears as a sign of weakness
My frail nature and honesty as a subtle sickness
My excessive kindness with a disguised unfairness
How can I impose my existence?
In a world that seems blind to my incandescence
I am born to suffer
With an impossible dream subjected to shrieks of laughter
For the rest of my life I will regret
The moment when I was made to
take life so seriously while my fragile nature was stabbed so painfully
With a world ungrateful, unkind…
With a misfortune unjust, unfair…
With a fate improbable, uncertain..
With wings deemed forever torn, splintered,
I wish they were unbroken..
