I WROTE MY POEM~by Indira Sadanandan

I WROTE MY POEM

I wrote my poem in a
Cumbrous language
With a lot of guttural sounds
Resembling to the grunting of oxen
Or croaking of frogs, that I wanted to
Make the rhyme with a difference
From all the other rhymes ever written.
I wanted to keep it as genuine as
From any other poems
It was sung in many poetry sessions
And friendly gatherings.
No other poet ever imitated it in either
By language,rhyme, rhythm,
Words or imagery.
The tongue in which I wrote was
Of my own invention.
In every sense my poem was original
Ideology,imagination and presentation
It was inimitable.
But there were people to write lampoon
On my new poetry.
