To the silence roar~by rldubour

To the silence roar

Old and weary here I lie upon the dusty land.

Here I lie remembering, with Bible in my hand.

Here I lie forever more, listening to the silence roar.

Here I lie forever more, listening to the silence roar.

The light has gone the warmth turned cold.

The sweet is bitter the youth is old.

My eyes can’t see, my lips can’t speak.

My ears can’t hear my strength is weak.

Here I lie forever more, listening to the silence roar.

Here I lie forever more, listening to the silence roar.

The wind with her whispering as she dims out the light.

Please, spare and old man his last breath of life.

Here I lie forever more, listening to the silence roar.

Here I lie forever more…..

  1. Ron, that’s so true. Many people think that way. That strength in weakness is a good thing, but most people think the other way

  2. Wow Ron this was a great poem which required a lot of thought. Well Written.

  3. Great piece Ron, loved it. Ann
