Poetry seeds~by Shirley Macclean

Poetry seeds

from seeds of flowers
we all bloom
and in the midst of a desert
a cactus too
some cacti produce
lovely flowers too
someday I shall show to you

think not of thyself in under tones
you have steel,
nay iron bones
stronger than any man’s

so be a sweetest flower
as far as you can
never say a wild one again

roses like me bloom forever,
in books
as book marks they dwell
those alone memorable memories do tell

what wild flower you say
you are the outstanding
poetic justice of today
a rosy flower
through poets
all the way.
