I’M A WOUNDED HEART~by Saroj Padhi

I’m a wounded heart, in search of balm for the night
I’m bruised soul, in search of a blue bower
under soft drizzles of moon light;
I’m a simmering silence within,
without power
to spell a few words of soulful experience
or an eye for any ordinary sight;

I’m a wounded journey on the simple path of life,
a common proletariate in battles with rising prices,
when love is lost in strife for ordinary achievements
and soul, sold out for a song, in cheap share markets;

I’m a wounded dream on the body of a romantic night
without power to burn my dry twigs
in the forest of our last love where Spring once clasped you
till a point of rarest near- salvation- hug
that lifts you in each pore to ecstasy’s ultimate height;

I’m a wounded heart
in search of a little common charm,
in need of refill of emotions’ pure echo-friendly fuel
perhaps for a half -destined half -desired flight.
