MY WINTRY SMILE.~by Philibus K Elisha Elisha

MY WINTRY SMILE.

Everytime I try to force that
smile
That intentional wintry smile
It comes with it the bitter taste of
bile.

My wintry smile is a
guile
In as much as I try to hide under
that guise
The pains in me about it gather in
a pile.

They might turn us into our worst
slide
They might incarcerate our efforts
with their swipe
But our wintry smile they can’t
wipe.

Our wintry smiles still remain our
snide
our silent weapon to fight their
pride
And our only solace is just for them to abide..!
