Time Bomb~by Karen King

Time Bomb

Our love is a time bomb,
Two times we have gone wrong.
You wait, like a ticking clock,
A key trying to open my lock.

An amorous Arab from a distant land,
Reaching out to take my hand.
He wants to read my poetry,
While we sit under his orange tree.

Our love is a time bomb,
Two times we have gone wrong.
You wait, like a ticking clock,
A key trying to open my lock.

He will not rebuild my house, brick by brick,
Trust has gone, beaten with a stick.
No money, he just wants to use.
Of life, he and I have different views.

Our love is a time bomb,
Two times we have gone wrong.
You wait, like a ticking clock,
A key trying to open my lock.

I was kind and helped him with his work,
Now I just stand and smirk.
I do not care for his rules,
For him again, I will not fall.

Our love is a time bomb,
Two times we have gone wrong.
You wait, like a ticking clock,
A key trying to open my lock.

He and I live I different places,
He and I are of different races.
He and I will never unite.
He can have his prostitutes at night!

Our love is a time bomb,
Two times we have gone wrong.
You wait, like a ticking clock,
A key trying to open my lock.
