Friendship~by Hela Tekali

Friendship

How shall I define you?
Shall I call you fraternity? Or a mere absurdity?
Intimate secrets, love, confidence and honesty
Or carelessness, oblivion, selfishness and hypocrisy
Despairingly you seem to fade away in vain……
Leaving much pain or disdain
Banal travesty making you tied to cherished beliefs eager to die in grief…

A friend is a lifetime companion…
A tender, compassionate shoulder filling you with intense passion…
A fraternal twin …
Treating you like a fairy queen…
Wiping away your tears…
Easing your pain…
Making you rejoice your life and have a good brain…
Filling your expectation rather than your empty destination…

In the pleasantness of friendship…
Leave a place for laughter…
Share your pleasure…
Forget about your mournful disaster…

Friendship will weather the raging storm…
Making you reborn…
No longer feeling forlorn…

Friendship is like a lively fresh rose
Each time you smell it …
You enjoy its sweet scent…
Making you forget its stinging thorns…
