Introspection~by Lilian Dipasupil Kunimasa

Vengeance is not ours to take
A bottomless pit we will just make
To kill or harm lives, for vengeance’s sake
An empty world of Armaggedon we wake

I am not saying that we allow evil to stay
Yet, be careful where our acts lay
Justice can be gained by righteous way
Let compassion and logic have their say

We can, for our own lives, fight
To defend our human right
To live our belief and claim birthright
But, let not our minds leave the light

I am for all human’s equality
For nature to retain vitality
Is it worth to lose equanimity
When we desired only unity?

Let us fight with our conscience intact
Be careful on how we think and act
Let not anger, our eyes distract
Know all the shown and hidden fact

Force will not gain other’s respect
Blind violence we certainly expect
Deep inside with calmness, introspect
Are the weak and innocents worthless insect?

Internal terrorism, is it just all it show?
What has made its evil power grow?
Are we really as innocent with halo’s glow?
Let worldwide change with peace flow

Ah, Yes! It is hard to share the blame
Terrorism, with chaos, to us came
They have brought humanity to shame
But history has not, the beast’s head tame

Down I say, with international terrorism!
Bullies with weapons and wily mechanism
Equality with all race, religions and humanism
But what about our individual mannerism?
