Treading Alone~by Hela Tekali

Treading Alone

I was walking
Through the night,
No one understood
My fight
Only my shadow
Was following
Me
Opening the door
For my eyes to see
Was I treading alone
On that night,
Or there was
Some intruding
Light?
I still could hear
The hooting
Of the owl nearby
As if it was bidding
Me a goodbye.
For my pathway,
I had to tread alone
WIth no one just
On my own.
Is it the wolf howling
I could hear now
Or is it the wrath
Of a passer- by?
My feet are wrongly taking
me, towards a direction
I always try to flee.
A rumble of thunder crashed
In the sky,
A flash of lightening with
A loud deep noise seems
To terrify my eye.
I will walk again through
The night, even if no one
Seems to understand my fight.
I will tread again and again
Until reaching that some
Intruding Light.
