To the Youth
Tell me, young one.
How does it feel now, to be a disappointment?
With new found life, you performed experiment
Arrogance gave parents pains and embarrassment
Slapping on faces their personal assessment
You learned to hate your parents for peer acceptance
In public insulted supportive attendance
With shady relations you’ve given alliance
Rebelled all the standards they taught in defiance
Why bite the ones who loves you for independence?
They have not interfered so what is your defense
Does coming of age need be aggressive offense?
Maturity is not losing one’s common sense.
Tell me, young one.
How does it feel now, to be a disappointment?
You have destroyed your life with your experiment
Arrogant and selfish caused self embarrassment
You have misjudged your self worthiness assessment
Oh, beloved young one!
There is still time to change
Redemption within range.
