Redemption

My world was in total darkness
Totally void of righteousness
Burdened by past transgression,
No hope of spiritual redemption.

Death claims justice with our souls,
His Grace claimed life for our souls,
Sin and desire enslaved our hearts,
Our weakness has failed our hearts,

Trying to balance inequity my mind,
Be fair, honest, faithful and kind
Because of His Love and Mercy,
The heaven’s light now I do see

My unworthy name His voice called,
He has brought me in from the cold
I answered the moment He knocked,
He opened the door that sin has locked

Redemption for my souls I received,
With Grace and Mercy I’ve been saved
Through His HOLY BLOOD all sins washed away
My Lord is the only Truth, the Life and the Way
