Soul Of A Poet

The poet’s soul rests in his pen
The ink is his magic potion, it tells about the how, where and when
Like Vincent Van Gogh’s painting, it travels beyond place and time
Depicting a Portrait of carnal love in its early prime

Portrait of lovers bespeaks nature
A pastoral setting steeped in a mystical stature
Heart painting escapes the poet’s subtle hue
For a souless portrait, the emotion is often entrapped in an enthralling woe

The soul of the poet encompasses a mystery
Displaying Art with such an astonishing ability
Colours, shades and paintbrushes, testify to the likeness of the natural
A mind -blowing tendency in portraying
Ethereal beauty in a way so lyrical.

Poets and painters are lovers of nature
A pastoral scenery bestowed upon an artistic preacher
Ink and paintbrush echo the voices of the souls
A wave of hand turns blank canvas into perfect wholes.
