Birds Of Love~by Hela Tekali

Birds Of Love

Migrant birds
You are,
Flying wings
So far
Driving my heart
To reach the
Distant sky
Pushing the soul
To free itself
From the cocoon
As a reborn butterfly.
You are an Ode
To a Nightingale,
I bow before your beauty
And Grace I hail.
You are a venturing
Sparrow,
pulling my soul back
To fly higher with
Your arrow.
You are a lovely
Cricket,
To reach
The destination
To your love
I need to buy my ticket.
Birds of love
You are,
“Can you
Assuage
My scars?
Chant those
Songs of
Melancholy.
Enchain my
Soul with
Hymns performed
Wholeheartedly.
Let the birds
Of my heart
Be uncaged.
Let the spirit
With freed emotions
be engaged.
Nothing is higher,
Gentler, stronger
Than love
Go birds!
To your dwelling
Place
Go Nightingale!
Sparrow! and
Cricket!
And bewitch my
Heart with your
Holy Grace.
