Etched in silence ~by Nutan Sarawagi

Inspired by Mandour Saleh Hikel ‘s poem

Dedicated to the Children of War
as you wipe a tear in the eye reflecting life , as young children go by seeking love.. lost to themselves bidding life goodbye

Etched in silence

In the silence of the grave
I cry to the grave to be heard
in the wreath of the grave
as it envelopes forming my grave
I am taken to the grave
to become my own grave
a ‘shaheed’ (martyr)of my grave I turn to my grave
to become my grave
it allures me as I seek solace in it
at last my grave to lick my wounds
in it tired as I lie in it depraved
in my death taken
Out of the shackles of bravery
In my slavery enslaved
