The Black Day~by Lilian Dipasupil Kunimasa

The Black Day

Today I woke up in total darkness
When all is silent, is this calmness
The world stood in death’s stillness
That day called cursed with madness

Yesterday marked day all was done
After God has spoken ‘ My beloved Son’
He surrendered His spirit, life gone
Spear in side, water and blood’s not con

All tormentors He loved and forgave
Laid to rest in a friend’s burial cave
Once a coward believer has gotten brave
Exposed his name he once tried to save

A holy curtain has torn itself apart
No more shall God be hidden by man made art
The Savior has won when He did His part
Mankind’s redemption this day did start

Wrapped naked, a white sheet he worn
His lifeless body cold, stiff and torn
All who loved and believed, for Him did mourn
They did not understand, for this He was born
